About Me

A woman in a white shirt is smiling for the camera.

I have been fortunate to work in the eating disorder field for close to 20 years. During this time, I have treated women and men of all ages in their recovery journey from anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, and orthorexia among others. I am passionate about educating others about nutrition, while helping them gain a better relationship with food and their bodies.

My initial training was in a hospital setting, providing me with a strong background in clinical nutrition.  Because of this, I have a great understanding of not only how the human body works, but how proper nutrition can make a difference in optimal body functioning.  I discovered my passion for treating eating disorders early on in my career, and since then have worked in a variety of treatment settings including inpatient hospitalization, residential treatment, partial hospitalization treatment, intensive outpatient treatment, and outpatient counseling. I am well-versed in the treatment of eating disorders at every level, and I utilize this knowledge to help you achieve your goals.

I received my undergraduate degree in Dietetics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and my Master’s degree in Nutrition from Boston University.  I am a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, as well as the International Association of Eating Disordered Professionals.

I believe in a non-diet approach to nutrition, which means that all food has a place at your table and in your body.  Utilizing the principles of intuitive eating and health at every size, I will work with you to find which foods help to fuel your body as well as your taste buds, and in the process, neutralize the foods that trigger disordered thoughts or behaviors.  No two people are the same, therefore, all nutrition interventions are individualized and tailored to your specific nutritional needs and goals.
